    • @PaulBanasiak
      @PaulBanasiak 16 дней назад

      @@anirbanguha4593 yes, instead of dipping, you can step your foot outside the punch (left foot if slipping to the left and right foot if slipping to the right) this will give you a more subtle dip while getting the head off line.

    • @PaulBanasiak
      @PaulBanasiak 16 дней назад

      @@anirbanguha4593 with that said, Muay Thai is usually fought at the kicking distance, using frames, pull backs and longer range defense. If you are in range to slip, you are also in range to clinch and knee / elbow which most Thai boxers opt for instead.

    How do u bring the kick up does the leg go straight up like a check then rotate ur hips or does the leg comebat 45 degrees andn then rotate

    • @PaulBanasiak
      @PaulBanasiak 21 день назад

      Watch back to the part near the end when coach Jack instructs the reset, then replay the motion. It should be a natural reset back into rhythm, you shouldn't have to force a particular movement. With that said, you could bring it back into a check if you expect a kick to come directly back at you, it is also a helpful motion to know if you aim to take steam off the kick when play sparring bare shin or when kicking into a check.

    Pivoting is good. People have different preferences, and some are better with a pivot, not to mention a step is easy to read, and you are more likely to be countered.

    Yes this is correct if it is a power shot, if you’re kicking low just to get a reaction and score some points the pivot is faster and safer just make sure you set it up properly always. Or you will get countered.
